Loose weight fast but not so fast that a weight loss program drains your energy. It takes a certain amount of food intake to go through your daily routine.

It also takes a certain amount of fuel to burn calories. So fasting is not the best way to loose weight. In fact going without the right amount of nourishment each day can do a lot of harm.

Cut out foods from your diet that are high in sugars such as goodies or a lot of soda. Losing weight can help to prevent a lot of diseases but weight loss needs to be done the right way.

Weight loss can reduce the chance of high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke. That is a 3 in one benefit from losing weight. It is a fact that heart disease and stroke are one of the primary reasons for disability and death in both women and men.

It is a fact that by decreasing your weight by five or ten percent it could decrease the chance of you developing heart disease or a stroke, but again it is important that it be done the right way.

Being excessively overweight can also lead to diabetes. Both types of diabetes, type one and two are linked to being overweight. To those that already have diabetes, regular exercise and losing weight could help in controlling your blood sugar levels as well as the medication that you may be currently taking.

Being overweight is linked to several types of cancer. Especially for women the common types of cancer that are associated with being overweight include cancer of the uterus, gallbladder, ovary, breast and colon. Men are also at risk if they are overweight. Cancer of the colon, prostate and rectum. This is simply meant as a wake up call not a scare tactic.

When a person is heavy the joints of his or her knees, hips and lower back would have to exert double if not triple the effort to carry him or her through the daily routine. This could cause tension or stress on these joints. Weight loss decreases the load these joints carry thus decreasing the pain one would feel.

There are many different options to loose weight fast . It’s important to pick a program and then stick with it. It will produce in a long and healthy life. It is an admirable goal to want to loose weight fast but do not take it off to fast.


i was reading a question about water fasting and an idea came to my head. can u lose any weight by doing it?

it’s only for 3 days so u obviously won’t slow down ur metabolism or go in starvation mode. will it help me lose weight faster?

You’ll lose weight but you’ll lose muscle mass first (it’s one of the sicker ironies of the human body). After 2-3 days without carbohydrate intake your body will start to burn fat for energy. Until then you’re consuming muscle if you aren’t eating anything.

Lost 90 Pounds

Day Meal Plan

6am V8 ( 8oz) (50 calories) — I use to do 5.5 oz but I changed it since there isn’t many calories

8am Protein Shake with 1/4 banana (Total Approximate Calories = 220)
Wheat toast one piece (70 calories)

10am cucumber yogurt home made half cup (Total Approximate Calories = 160)

Turkey sandwich: on wheat with lettuce, tomato, pickle (approx 360)

2pm red apple (Total Approximate Calories = 90)

4pm 1 banana 1 orange mixed with (COOL WHIP LITE 1 serving (9.0 g)
(Total Approximate Calories = 200)

6pm potato and peas soup, Indian style with rice (1 cup approx calories 300)

Total calories 1450

1 day meal plan (after half goal weight lost)

You won’t lose weight by fasting. The worst thing you can do is to not eat. You body thinks you are starving it and it will hold on to every calorie and stored fat cell it has to protect itself. You will be very tired and have no energy because your body will begin to shut down to conserve energy.

If you fast for a few days (do a cleanse), it can cleanse your body of toxins if you do it right, but you won’t lose any real weight other than water weight. It can be helpful though for prepping your body for a healthier lifestyle.

If you fast long-term, you’re going to lose muscle mass, not fat, as your body eats itself. It sets you up for all sorts of long-term diseases, and is just a bad idea.

Listen, if you want to lose weight for real, exercise, eat healthy. It’s not rocket science, but people always want a quick and easy way. Make changes to your diet that you can live with for life. For example, I cut out pop and chips, and I don’t miss them at all. You will be amazed how healthy you feel when you are eating whole foods (not processed crap like half the country lives on). And exercise, it can be fun! I took up tae kwon do, got into excellent shape and feel stronger than ever! And it’s fun! I even competed in a tournament and got 1st place.

Anyway, you can do it healthily, and lose 8-10 pounds of REAL weight in a month, and keep it off. You won’t regret not fasting for a month when you see the results. When you fast you lose muscle, like I said. When you exercise and fuel your body you tone muscle, and will look stunning. Plus, muscle burns fat so it’s a win-win! But real weight loss is hard work. You have to be dedicated and not give yourself any excuses. I think this is why some people want to be anorexic (not all, I know it’s a disease). I think they are afraid of the hard work, and think they can get the results they want by just not eating. I promise it doesn’t work.


Can I still lose weight while fasting during Ramadan?

I’m sure you all know what fasting during ramadan is. When you don’t eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset. Around 7 is when we break our fast. What types of things can I eat when its time to break the fast? (healthy things)
will i lose a few lbs?

You should know that you won’t lose weight during Ramadan. All we do is sleep in during the day and eat all night. Not much has changed. Now if we REALLY had to fast, we might lose a couple pounds.

What are some great ways to lose weight fast, without fasting all together?

I have recently started working out, and eating healthier=]

You got some advice from the others…..one thing I’d like to mention……if you fast your metabolism will slow down and you may loose a pound or two, then that’s it. It will become better at storing things then burning them….keep the food coming and don’t forget the water….lots of it….
Good luck…you’ve started something good….just don’t give up.

How do I lose weight after fasting?

I was eating 5 to 6 small meals a day in order to lose weight. For a couple of days I overate a little a picked up a couple of pounds. So, I got desperate and cut back a whole lot in order to lose more weight. I was sucessful but, I know this is wrong so, I want to go back but I am afraid that I will put alot of weight back on. How can I go back to normal but, still effectively lose weight and boost metabolism again?
